So happy with this bed! Aug 25, 2009
By Seattle Mom Love that Oeuf makes a stylish crib that converts into a toddler bed. I chose this one specifically because the sides were low...all the other convertible beds kept the high sides from the crib, which made the bed (to me) feel like a cage.
Our daughter is a climber, so she loved when we switched her to this bed...she would climb up the sides into the bed, but learned that the proper way to exit, was out the open side. I think having a bed that she enjoyed made the transition from crib to toddler bed much easier.
Our daughter also tended to roll and move around a lot in her crib at night, so she did fall out of the toddler bed a couple of times (at night), but she just climbed back in again and fell back asleep. After a little bit, she pretty much just stayed at the head of the bed.
Very easy to assemble, durable and though a bit pricey, we are having two kids, so it was worth it to me.

By cristiana after 3 years we just converted our son's classic crib into the toddler bed. the directions were perfectly clear, and needless to say the transition was flawless. For both bed and son. couldn't be happier. thanks, oeuf!

I love our OEUF crib and this conversion kit is just as sturdy, easy to assemble (my husband and my 2 year old son had a blast putting it together). My only concern (and I cringe that I have to give it 4 stars since I love the crib so much) but the open space without a railing is a problem if you have a kid that moves a lot in his sleep. Our son is only 2 years and 3 months old and we thought he was ready to move to a toddler bed, and while he loves the freedom of getting in and out of bed on his own, he did fall off the bed the second night. We have carpet and it's a low bed so he didn't get hurt but that surely startled him. Maybe he's not ready yet to graduate to a toddler bed but for now there's array of soft pillows around his bed so if he falls again he can land on pillows. If your child doesn't make 180 degree turns all night long, then this conversion kit is perfect for you, very sturdy, easy to assemble, and very elegant (just like the crib).
Excellent! Mar 19, 2011
By T. Kowalski This conversion kit went on in minutes. It was a great "big boy" moment for our son as he transitioned out of his crib. He loved that his bed "transformed" into a more grown up bed, but was still familiar. We loved that we didn't have to buy a whole new piece of furniture. The rails are fantastic for wild sleepers. My husband and I managed to still squeeze in with him for story time. We got nearly four years out of the crib and conversion kit. We also got the Changing Station. Our experience with Oeuf has been so positive that we ordered the Sparrow and its conversion kit for baby # 2. Excellent design and construction. Thank you!
big savings in this option! Feb 28, 2011
By Kaia Haugeto I have the classic crib and recently converted to the toddler bed - SO EASY and my son LOVES it. He loves the new independence and so far no falling out!
