By BarefootGirl My son got this as a gift when he was 6 months old. He is now 13 months and will not sleep without it, or go anywhere without it. It is his "blankie", for all intents and purposes. I am buying two more *just in case* something happens to it. I can barely get him away from it long enough to even wash it, which it needs. His name is just "doggie", by the way. It used to be the softest thing in the world....if anyone has any tips on how to clean it and get back some of the softness I would appreciate it.

My daughter also picked this out for herself when she was about 1. It has been her favorite toy that she brings with her everywhere. It is the perfect toy for cuddling (super soft and great length) and has withstood many dunkings in her water table and being dragged around the rocky yard. Almost as good as new 1 year later.
On a side note she also gets super excited now when she sees a real Dalmatian.

By L. N. corrigan I bought this dog for my 18 month old daughter. It is so soft and cuddly. Actually, she picked it out at the store - and just HAD to have it. As it turns out, it has become her "lovey" - her favorite toy that she takes everywhere and sleeps with. She cares for the dog, puts it to sleep, feeds it, and acts things out with it. It is very durable, despite the concerns of the other reviewer. Everyone loves this dog, and I don't mind carrying it around, as it is quite stylish and eye catching.

By Jay S. I bought this dog for my wife for Valentines Day. He is soft, and she thinks hes adorable.
-Educational value for Kids: maybe how to take care of a dog, clean your toys, etc...
Durable: I dont think its for playing, its more for show. Im not sure how much tugging the arms and tail could take before they come off.
Overall; Great gift, she loved it so thats all that mattered to me.
