Love it ! Quality toy, hand-made in Europe Sep 01, 2010
By busy_mom2000 I received the Grabbing Star as a shower gift and have to say: I love it ! Though our little one is not here yet, this toy will surely be a hit (if not, I'll update this review).
The star is just as brightly colored as in the picture, with a stitched on little smiling face in the middle. The body has a rattle integrated, so when baby shakes the toy around playfully, it will make noise. Each one of the little "arms" has a different stimulation/job. One arm crinkles, one is filled with what could be rice, one with a cotton-like substance, one has a wooden teething ring attached, and one a Velcro snap for attaching a Binky. The star is soft to the touch.
All of the Kathe Kruse toys are handmade in Europe, using BPA-free, safe materials. I think I'll be ordering more Kathe Kruse toys, given how cute and baby-friendly this one is !

This was the first thing my little gal loved. She squished it and squeezed it until it was just about loved to death. It's wonderful for tiny ones to just hold onto and as they get a little older they love to chew on the wooden ring. There are also a variety of textures for them to explore. My daughter is too big for it now but I am buying this for my friend who is about to have her first. This is a wonderful first toy.
