Sturdy, pretty, practical Jan 21, 2010
By David and Lindsay Dreher We love this crib!
The design is pleasing to the eye, with the sleigh design and the nice golden honey color.
The crib is sturdy. It is long enough, and at the lowest setting tall enough, for our 25lb 2 year old son. However, it's really light - so light that he can push it around the room! It's small enough that I can push it through the doorway, down the hall, and into the living room if I need to.
One thing I like is that the front decorative roll bar can be left off, so that I can easily bend over the edge of the crib (I'm really short, 5'1"). It can also be easily reattached when we turn it into a bed.
The coolest thing is that it converts to a TWIN bed instead of a full sized bed. I've yet to meet a toddler/preschooler/elementary school kid that needs a full sized bed, but all the full size cribs convert that way! This is way better.
Three warnings about this crib:
1) You will need to use "portacrib" or "portable crib" sized mattresses and bedding. They're quite a bit harder to find.
2) If your kid is teething on this crib, it is difficult to find a protective teething rail that will stay on the sides because of the pretty curve.
3) It comes with a thin mattress pad, not a real mattress. When my son was an infant, we had an afghan that was exactly the right size to fold in half, and covered the entire floor of the crib, then we stuck the mattress pad over that. It worked for when he was tiny. Once he got heavier, we bought this:
MDB Sunshine Mini Mattress Pad
But that item is just a thicker mattress pad. We added the new, 3" one to the thin one that came with the crib, and it has worked fine for about a year, but it's starting to get worn/mushy in the middle.
We are now going to buy this one instead: MDB Crescent Mini Crib Mattress and since it's the same price, we probably should have bought this one to begin with!!
Overall, though, it's totally worth trying to track down portacrib bedding for it. We love this crib so much, we bought a second one (in cherry, which is also beautiful) for my daughter.

Pleased with purchase Mar 02, 2008
By Engineer The crib is ideal for small rooms. We were able to convert a small bedroom into a fairly complete nursery. Assembly is easier with two people but not that difficult. Just take your time and go through the directions. The crib is sturdy and the finish is nice. We got the "Natural Finish." The wood is soft but that is to be expected with pine. We are not using the pad that came with the crib, as it seemed a little insufficient for the long term. The platform that supports the mattress is adjustable but requires removing the screws at the four corners. Mattress thickness can go up to 5-inches as recommended on the mattress platform. Overall, good crib and very pleased with the end result.

A crib that wont overwhelm your room. Sep 11, 2008
By L. Gonzalez We bought this crib for our baby that will be born in 2 months. the crib is very nice and I have gotten compliments from every one that's has seen it. the cherry color is very nice but also easily scratched. But with a brown marker, scratches disappear. The installation kinda confused me at first but you get the hang of it after a couple minutes. Its not the full size that basically is a twin bed, its bed for a baby up to like 1-2years old. A must for spaces that will have baby sleep in ur room or small room. A Must is to buy the mattress that they sell separately because the one that comes is just a little 1 inch thing that i wouldnt have my baby sleep in. I consider the mattress that came with it as stain guard for the 100 dollar one i bought. Also sheets are smaller that the one they sell make sure to know the size of this mattress before you buy. We made our own, just bought very nice fabric and sewed like it was a large pillow case, wrapped the one side excess under mattress. Much prettier than the ones they sold, also alot cheaper 35 dollars compared to like 150 for store bought sets. Had enough to make sheets as well.

Great product--very flexible and attractive Aug 23, 2007
By J. Kenagy I bought this mini crib to be a twin bed for the older brother of our son in the crib--matching headboards, etc. I found the product GREAT! It's beautiful and very sturdy. I found the support (answering questions, finding out information) to be lacking...

Great crib for limited space! Jul 11, 2011
By Mandi This is the perfect crib for families without a lot of space! We have a 3 bedroom home and are expecting our 4th child, our older kids share and the younger ones will as well but the 3rd bedroom is small and our 3rd child is still only 18 months himself so baby will be in our room for a while. The solution that came to mind right away was a pack and play but considering this will be baby's bed for at least a year I decided to go with something more substantial. Seems quite uncomfortable to sleep on a pack and play 'board' (cause it's not a mattress!) for long periods of time. I'm so glad we did.
This crib (honey oak) matches perfectly with our bedroom furniture, fits well in our room and looks nice! A few common complaints
*Yes, the wood does scratch easily! I'm okay with that, even the parts that got scratched by accident don't show well with the color we picked.
*Directions are definitely lacking BUT, I put it together, by myself at 7 months pregnant in less than an hour. I made sure to take my time because I had read reviews of the wood scratching easily and I wanted to make sure things were being put together as they should. It is pretty self-explanitory after looking at the directions but they definitely don't adequately say which part goes where in my opinion.
*Bedding- if you have even basic sewing skills it's so easy to sew a crib skirt and crib sheet. Bumpers are unsafe (though amazon does sell the breathable ones for mini cribs) as are the traditional quilts in bedding sets.
*Mattress pad, the one that comes with is thin. It actually isn't as thin as I thought it would be based on other reviews as it is thicker than the pad that comes with the bassinet I used for our second child. I went ahead and ordered the Dream On Me 3" mattress when I ordered the crib (when I went to order the crib on amazon it had went way up in price so I ordered it somewhere else). I stacked the two 'mattresses' and will probably use it like that.
As far as how long it will last, my 18 month old son fits in the crib so it will last me as long as I'll need it to
All in all, I'm definitely happy with our purchase and would (and do) reccomend it to anyone in a similar situation.
