This took about a full week to receive, but it was well worth the wait! We bought it for our 8 month old and he loves it. It will very likely become his favorite stuffed animal, and it is large enough to last him for many years! Be sure to order a "truffle" if you want the one that lays flat. We ordered a "bunglie" on accident the first time.

Softest stuffed animal around Mar 09, 2009
By K. Andrews Purchased this for my four year old grandson. He has it on his bed, and uses it as an extra pillow when he is reading. Never have had such a soft stuffed animal. Definitely would purchase another in the future.

I have purchased other Jellycat products and another Large Chaucer Truffles somewhere else. This time I ordered one from my beloved Amazon.com. It came with other items but was bagged tightly and sealed in plastic. This poor stuffed animal came out looking as though it had been used already. Some of it's fur was a bit matted too. I know, you're saying I should have sent it back. But I thought of all the real animals we've had from the humane society that were not at all perfect but beautiful in their own right. Yes, I'm nuts; I kept the imperfect Chaucer Truffles that I call Jelly for when our grandchildren visit. He also sits on top of the red leather sofa, next to me, in our family room!
Amazon take note please.......even though I'm not sending it back; I'm disappointed in your source.

I bought this at another place, but wanted to add my two cents. I LOVE MY TRUFFLES CHAUCER! I am an adult collector of stuffed animals, and I have to say that this dog is one of the cutest I have ever owned or seen. He is a softie--lies more flat like a pillow. But he is so very cuddly. He has the cutest face you've ever seen and huge, furry paws. I love my dog so much that I now have a love of the Old English Sheepdog (since that's what Truffles Chaucer is). This was also my first Jellycat and I have to say that I really like the way they make stuffed animals. If you love the OES, then this dog is a must. If you loved cute stuffed dogs, then this dog is also a must! Please give a Truffles Chaucer a wonderful, new home.

By Teddybear This pillow pet is sooooooo soft. I bought it for my year and a half old Nephew for Christmas . He almost didn't get.him. when I opened it I feel in love with him. he is so soft and loveable. He carries it with him all the time. I was tempted to order myself one. Thank goodness they had sold out of them. The teenagers even loved him. He is a lot nicer pillow pet than you see everywhere. It is worth the money. Since it is bigger than some he will use it for a long time.
